Questions drivers ask

Where do I get an access code?

During the beta RigMap opens only with a team access code. Your dispatcher or the person who invited you has it. If you don't have one, contact us.

How do I install RigMap?

Install Apple's TestFlight app, open the RigMap invite link on your iPhone, then open RigMap and enter your access code. The full steps are on Get the app.

How do I set my truck's height and weight?

Open your driver profile and enter height, width, length, gross weight, axle weight and axle count. You can use feet and pounds or metres and tonnes. Every new route uses these numbers.

What's the difference between Tolls and Canada Tolls?

Tolls avoids every toll road in the US and Canada. Canada Tolls avoids only Canadian toll roads such as the 407 ETR and the Quebec and Nova Scotia toll bridges, and still lets you use US toll roads.

Which route mode should I use?

Fastest suits most loads. Fewer Hills helps when you're heavy. Truck Comfort prefers designated truck routes with fewer turns and signals. RigMap IQ ranks routes by highway share, signals and terrain. See all modes on the Features page.

How do I route with hazmat?

Choose your load classes in the hazmat options before you calculate the route. RigMap avoids roads and tunnels closed to hazardous materials for that trip.

Why did I get a low bridge warning?

RigMap compares bridge clearance records near your route with your truck's height. Records can be out of date, so always check the posted sign. If a warning looks wrong, report it from the app and tell us where.

Why does RigMap avoid a road I'd normally take?

Usually it's a posted limit or a no-truck restriction for your profile, a toll or ferry you chose to avoid, or a time-limited truck ban. Check your profile and route options. If the road is legal for your truck, report it so we can fix the data.

How do I report parking, a scale or a diesel price?

Tap the stop or scale on the map and use the report buttons on its card. Reports are anonymous and other drivers see them right away.

Can I mark a road as no-truck?

Yes. Mark it from the map or the report sheet and RigMap routes around it on your next route.

Why does RigMap ask for location "Always"?

So turn-by-turn keeps working with the screen off or another app open. RigMap uses your location for navigation and nearby places. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Does RigMap work in Canada?

Yes. Routing, restrictions, stops and cameras cover the US and Canada, including border crossings with wait times.

How do I end navigation?

Tap the red ✕ on the right side of the map during navigation.

How do I get updates?

TestFlight notifies you when a new build is ready. Turn on automatic updates in TestFlight to get fixes as soon as they're out.
